    Job Summary

    Teach Us Consent Global is seeking an experienced Education & Research Officer to support the organisation’s efforts in eradicating youth-on-youth sexual violence through evidence-based programs, policy development, and research initiatives.

    The role involves contributing to porn literacy, gender-based violence prevention, knowledge translation, and stakeholder engagement, with a focus on building a robust evidence base and supporting impactful education and resource development.

    Key Responsibilities

    Education & Resource Development

    • Create and inform content across Teach Us Consent’s various platforms
    • Upskill the internal team with research insights

    Content Support

    • Collaborate with communications and policy teams to develop research outputs such as presentations, policy briefs, and peer-reviewed papers

    Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI)

    • Develop and implement DEI frameworks
    • Expand reach among priority populations and measure co-design impact

    Monitoring & Evaluation

    • Support evaluation processes, develop key questions, and uphold ethical research standards
    • Contribute to the organisation’s M&E framework and research priorities

    Research & Data Management

    • Produce tailored resources for youth and diverse populations
    • Conduct literature reviews, data collection, and manage research data in a culturally safe manner

    Stakeholder Engagement

    • Expand and maintain a network of experts, researchers, and youth advisory groups
    • Organise academic and policy events and represent the organisation publicly

    Grant Support

    • Assist with grant applications, concept notes, and donor proposals using relevant research and data

    Candidate Profile

    Essential Skills & Experience

    • Knowledge of gender-based violence, porn literacy, online harassment, and related fields
    • 1-2 years of experience in prevention of GBV, research, or related sectors
    • Experience in curriculum design, pedagogy, and research within education or professional settings

    • Strong research skills including literature reviews and data analysis
    • Proficiency in monitoring, evaluation, and knowledge product development
    • Excellent presentation and organizational skills

    Highly Desirable

    • University qualification in Gender Studies, Education, Public Health, Social Work, Cybercrime, or related fields
    • Experience working with diverse populations including LGBTQIA+, CALD, rural, disabled, and Indigenous communities
    • Policy analysis experience
    • Engagement with youth with lived experiences

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Salary: AUD 87,000 gross annually
