Overview

The Field Chief Technology Officer (Field CTO) role at 1Password involves serving as the most senior customer-facing technical advisor within the Solutions Engineering organization. The Field CTO will guide large organizations through complex identity and access challenges while determining the future trajectory of enterprise identity security.

Key Responsibilities

• Influence enterprise technology leaders and accelerate adoption of the 1Password platform.
• Engage in strategic customer opportunities and represent 1Password at various forums and events.
• Help scale the technical capabilities of the Solutions Engineering organization.
• Transform insights into repeatable playbooks and mentor senior Solutions Engineers.
• Develop technical strategies and establish best practices for customer engagement.
• Influence product strategy and communicate market insights to Product and Engineering leadership.
• Represent 1Password externally at conferences and industry forums.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in enterprise technology, cybersecurity, or technical leadership roles.
• Demonstrated success influencing executive technology leaders.
• Deep technical expertise across identity, access management, and AI security.
• Exceptional executive communication skills.
• Proven ability to influence enterprise architecture decisions.
• Familiarity with enterprise buying processes and sales methodologies.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
