Overview

The role of Enterprise Solutions Architect at ClickHouse involves owning the technical side of the sales cycle for enterprise accounts across Greater China. The focus is on designing scalable solutions that meet the needs of various stakeholders in enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the technical evaluation for enterprise accounts, including discovery, POC, architecture sign-off, security review, and initial production workload.
• Engage with stakeholders including data engineers, architects, SRE, and executives to design comprehensive solutions.
• Design for production scale, including sizing, storage, and replication strategies.
• Win competitive displacements against various data systems using reproducible benchmarks.
• Manage migration plans and ensure customers see exactly how to transition to production.
• Clear the security and procurement pathways by addressing compliance and architectural requirements.
• Collaborate with Enterprise AEs on progressing and closing opportunities.
• Advocate for customer needs within the company and contribute to reference materials.

Requirements

• Professional fluency in Mandarin and English, capable of leading technical workshops in both languages.
• Strong technical background in data infrastructure as a data engineer, platform engineer, or similar role.
• Experience with analytical databases and knowledge of distributed systems.
• Familiarity with modern data stack components (e.g., Kafka, cloud platforms).
• Experience in customer-facing roles with technical evaluation and pre-sales experience.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
• A patient approach to enterprise evaluations with complex cycles.
• Willingness to acknowledge when ClickHouse may not be the right fit for a specific workload.
