The Residential Design & Preconstruction Specialist will play a crucial role in designing and prefabricating custom residential homes, ensuring that design quality translates effectively into buildability and cost.

Key Responsibilities

• Design development: Take designs from rough layouts through approval cycles, producing renderings at each stage.
• Build and maintain a templated library of plan sets for customers.
• Produce complete, construction-ready Revit models while ensuring compliance with IRC and NEC requirements.
• Prepare design files for engineering and production teams, ensuring buildability by robotic construction systems.
• Review existing plans and recommend refinements for robotic construction.
• Produce pricing breakdowns using industry cost data and apply robotic-construction cost models.
• Join plan reviews with prospects and customers as the design and pricing expert.

Requirements

• Experience modeling residential buildings in Revit to construction-document level.
• Strong knowledge of US wood-frame construction and familiarity with IRC and NEC.
• Experience in construction estimating with real project costs.
• Comfort in customer-facing settings, presenting designs and handling feedback.
• Disciplined modeling habits with reliable delivery against milestones.
