Global Operations Associate @Flexport

Overview

Flexport is seeking a Global Operations Associate to enhance the European Operations team and assist in expanding Flexport's services in Poland. The role involves spending the first few months in Hamburg to learn operational processes and subsequently focusing on operational services in Poland.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure high standards of Flexport quality in shipment movements, handle escalations, and maintain communication.
• Support the team in improving performance metrics, data quality, and timeliness of shipment milestones.
• Follow standard operating procedures to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
• Lead implementation and execution of shipments for new clients.
• Act as the primary contact for internal and external escalations, resolving client issues effectively.
• Coordinate logistics operations with partners such as steamship lines and trucking services.
• Assist in managing imports and exports within a regional network.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or equivalent vocational qualification.
• 1-2 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics operations in Poland.
• Knowledge of local port/terminal software systems.
• Fluency in English and Polish; other European languages are a plus.
• Ability to adapt to new technology in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with effective time management capabilities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Client-focused mindset with a commitment to service satisfaction.

Benefits

Location

Remote position with a possible short-term relocation to Hamburg, Germany, for the first 1-2 months, followed by permanent relocation to Warsaw, Poland.
