IT Engineer, Internal AI Infrastructure @Figma

Overview

Figma is seeking an IT Engineer for their Internal AI Infrastructure team. This role is focused on designing and building the infrastructure that supports internal AI applications and tools within the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build the hosting golden path for internal AI applications, bots, and agents.
• Create a model routing layer for directing tasks based on cost, capability, and policy.
• Establish observability, usage analytics, audit logging, and cost attribution for AI workloads.
• Integrate identity, access, and security patterns ensuring safety for internal AI apps.
• Collaborate with engineers on product AI infrastructure teams.
• Help shape the team's platform strategy and engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, particularly in infrastructure or backend engineering.
• Proven track record of building internal platforms adopted by teams.
• Strong system design skills and experience in architectural production systems.
• Hands-on experience with LLM operations and related technologies.
• Experience with identity and access management in an enterprise environment.
