Position Over
International Community of Women Global is seeking a creative and organized Communications Coordinator to strengthen its international advocacy efforts through digital communications, campaign management, and event support.
The role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to global campaigns, including World AIDS Day, International Women’s Day, and the 16 Days of Activism.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Communications & Content Creation
- Develop engaging content for social media, website, and digital platforms
- Support communication planning, audience engagement, and website updates
- Assist with live event communications, including social media and broadcast materials
Campaign Support & Coordination
- Coordinate communications for International Community of Women’s global advocacy campaigns
- Help amplify messages during major international advocacy moments
- Support the planning and execution of the 16 Days of Activism Campaign
Event Support
- Assist in organizing virtual events, including webinars and online meetings
- Coordinate speakers, manage registrations, and provide technical support during online sessions
Communications Development
- Create content for newsletters, blog posts, and annual reports
- Edit and proofread materials, contribute basic graphics and short videos
Qualifications
Essential
- Proficiency in written English; additional languages are advantageous
- Experience managing social media platforms and creating digital content
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
- Familiarity with Zoom or similar platforms for virtual meetings
- Basic graphic design and video editing skills (using Canva, for example)
- Attention to detail and dedication to social justice and gender equality
Desirable
- Lived experience as a woman living with HIV or from a key population
- Experience with community-led organizations or grassroots advocacy
- Knowledge of HIV, SRHR, feminist, or human rights issues
- Website management experience (e.g., WordPress)
- Multicultural and international collaboration experience
