Overview
Protect Humanitarians is hiring a Global Program Director to lead impactful programs defending and supporting humanitarian personnel worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and implementation of the global program strategy.
- Ensure timely, high-quality program delivery within budgets and donor requirements.
- Maintain compliance with donor guidelines and oversee grant lifecycle.
- Guarantee programs are evidence-based and aligned with protection principles.
- Lead, supervise, and support program staff.
- Drive resource mobilization efforts and develop competitive proposals.
- Develop strategic partnerships with NGOs and stakeholders globally.
- Integrate safeguarding and ethical standards across programs.
- Strengthen program management systems and processes.
Requirements
- Over 10 years of experience in strategy development and program management within humanitarian NGOs.
- Proven leadership of complex, multi-country programs.
- Extensive experience with institutional donors like DG ECHO and DGD.
- Strong resource mobilization and strategic partnership-building skills.
- Excellent communication and representation abilities.
- Advanced degree in international relations, humanitarian action, or related field; fluency in English; French/Dutch assets.
