Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate regulatory responses with cross-functional teams including Policy and Government Affairs, Operations, Product, and Communications.
• Conduct comprehensive reviews of legislation impacting gig economy participants and provide actionable legal guidance.
• Develop and document legal frameworks and compliance best practices.
• Manage relationships with external counsel, trade associations, and industry partners.
• Build and share expertise in emerging legal areas relevant to Instacart's business.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
• 3+ years of experience practicing law.
• Ability to synthesize, analyze, and provide precise legal advice on legislative updates.
• Experience with legislative bodies, government agencies, or regulatory matters.
• Proven success in supporting compliance initiatives and executing legal frameworks.
• Understanding of legislative processes and the regulatory landscape.
