Manager, Cross-Border Payment Operations @Brex

Overview

The Manager of Cross-Border Payment Operations at Brex will lead a team responsible for overseeing the movement of money through the platform. This role requires a strong focus on operational excellence, team development, and collaboration across multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Banking Operations analysts by setting priorities, coaching performance, and fostering a culture of accountability.
• Oversee payment monitoring across Fedwire, SWIFT, ACH, checks, and stablecoins.
• Build scalable frameworks for onboarding, quality assurance, and escalation management.
• Drive AI adoption and identify use cases to enhance operational speed and control.
• Partner with Compliance, Legal, Product, Engineering, and external banking partners to strengthen controls and resolve issues.
• Identify root causes for continuous improvement and advance automation processes.
• Translate frontline insights into clear reporting and actionable recommendations for leadership.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in banking operations, payments operations, or compliance in a regulated financial services environment.
• 2+ years of direct people management experience.
• Practical fluency with AI tools to enhance team effectiveness.
• Strong judgment, written and verbal communication skills.
• Builder mindset with operational discipline and comfort using data for decision-making.
• Bonus: Licensing & Credentials such as FINRA Series 7, 63, and 24, or AAP and APRP.
