Manager, Enterprise Application Engineering @Harvey

Overview

Harvey is seeking a Manager, Enterprise Application Engineering to build and lead the engineering team for their internal business systems in Dublin. This is a key leadership role, where the candidate will manage a team of Enterprise Application Engineers and AI Enablement Engineers while remaining hands-on in coding and architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and lead the team, including hiring, onboarding, and developing a Dublin-based team of Enterprise Application Engineers and AI Enablement Engineers.
• Stay hands-on, designing systems, reviewing code, writing integrations, and addressing production issues.
• Own the internal application layer, ensuring reliability and security of custom applications and services.
• Drive AI enablement into the business by building tools and practices around AI integration.
• Partner with business and systems owners to transform business problems into scoped engineering work.
• Establish engineering standards for writing, testing, deploying, and documenting the team's builds.
• Anchor BizTech in EMEA, providing senior presence in Dublin while engaging with US stakeholders.
• Make build-vs-buy decisions with considerations for cost, security, and long-term maintenance.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of engineering management experience and 7+ years in enterprise application or internal platform engineering.
• Hands-on experience in a modern programming language (Python, TypeScript, Go, etc.) and designing API-based integrations.
• Knowledge of enterprise SaaS platforms like Salesforce, Workday, NetSuite, and others.
• Experience applying LLMs or AI to production problems, with insights on technology capabilities.
• Proven track record in hiring and developing engineers and raising technical standards.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, global environment.
