Overview

The Nutrition Assistant will oversee nutrition activities for IRC supported OTPs in the assigned Local Government Area of Zamfara state, ensuring integrity and high-level transparency in project implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Support planning and implementation of project activities at the field level.
• Track performance of project activities and advise on implementation process.
• Ensure timely identification and treatment of malnutrition-related medical complications.
• Supervise patient management of children in the OTP.
• Participate in daily operations at the OTP with the medical team.
• Monitor vital signs and provide support as required.
• Improve the MIYCN program and counsel mothers on nutrition practices.
• Support data collection and generation of nutrition reports.
• Monitor the performance of OTP facilities through regular visits.
• Collaborate with other sectors for a holistic service response.

Requirements

• BNSC, BSc or Diploma in Nursing/Midwifery/Nutrition/Health Education.
• Registration with a professional body/council in Nigeria.
• At least 2 years’ experience in managing and implementing nutrition programs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Able to work under pressure with displaced communities.
