Overview

The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) seeks a Nutrition Officer (NOB) to deliver high-impact nutrition interventions in Nigeria, focusing on building resilience and protecting vulnerable populations.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical support for high-impact nutrition interventions at various governmental levels.
Manage organizational resources and monitor results for the nutrition program.
Track and manage grant utilization ensuring compliance with UNICEF guidelines.
Initiate procurement of essential nutrition commodities in collaboration with the Supply Team.
Assist in designing, planning, and implementing nutrition programs with government partners.
Conduct monitoring and coordination of nutrition program implementation with government and partners.
Develop evidence-based nutritional work plans and ensure timely objectives are met.
Facilitate advocacy and communication strategies for nutrition resource mobilization.

Requirements

A university degree in nutrition, public health, or similar fields required; an advanced degree is an asset.
A minimum of five years relevant professional work experience in health and nutrition.
Experience with health or nutrition systems strengthening programs.
Working experience with the UN or international development organizations is advantageous.
