Job Summary
The Nature Conservancy (TNC) is seeking a Portfolio Coordinator for its Carbon Markets division. This is a full-time, remote position open globally, with a two-year initial funding period and the possibility of extension.
The role involves building and maintaining a global portfolio of high-quality nature-based carbon projects, supporting project workflows, stakeholder communication, donor reporting, and system enhancement.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio System Management
- Maintain and enhance the portfolio system, ensuring accurate project data, tool updates, and KPI implementation
- Support redesign and implementation of metrics, KPIs, and new tools for project tracking and carbon credit management
Project Coordination and Support
- Assist project teams with planning, milestone tracking, and workplan development
- Facilitate communication and data sharing between the Global Carbon Markets team and project leads
- Support in-person workshops, scheduling, and agenda building
Reporting and Proposal Development
- Contribute to donor reports and proposal writing for current and future carbon projects
- Compile project information and support narrative development for funding applications
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process and system improvements to meet evolving program needs
- Ensure high standards for data quality, organization, and documentation across multiple workstreams
Candidate Profile: What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent
- Proven experience in report generation, data analysis, and project management
- Skills in business process analysis and improvement
- Familiarity with current technology and project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet)
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with high attention to detail
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
Desired Qualifications
- Multilingual skills and cross-cultural experience
- Formal project management training or certification (e.g., PMP, CPMA)
- Strong organizational skills and experience creating professional presentations for stakeholders
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range for U.S. applicants: $65,000 – $91,000 annually, depending on location and experience
- Salary for other countries will be determined based on local labor markets and pay ranges
