Principal Product Manager (XDR & Exposure Management) - Security Solutions @Elastic

Overview

Elastic is seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead the XDR and exposure management capabilities within its Security Solutions team. This role involves overseeing product strategy and delivery across various domains, optimizing security processes, and enhancing detection and response capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the XDR strategy and delivery for cross-domain detection and response in endpoint, cloud, identity, and network security.
• Lead the expansion into exposure and vulnerability management, focusing on features such as patch management and remediation workflows.
• Integrate various security signals as inputs for decision-making rather than creating separate products.
• Collaborate with senior customer stakeholders to guide roadmap direction and product requirements.
• Analyze the competitive landscape to inform product direction and strategy.
• Create essential documentation, including roadmap trackers and competitive briefs, for visibility across stakeholders.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of product management experience, with at least 4 years in security or B2B enterprise software.
• Hands-on knowledge of XDR, EDR, SIEM, or broader security operations.
• Strong understanding of exposure prioritization and cybersecurity analytics.
• Technical credibility and ability to engage with engineering teams effectively.
• Proven experience in managing relationships with C-suite and VP-level stakeholders.
• Familiarity with AI and its application in security.
• Ability to operate independently and lead across a matrixed organization in a remote environment.
• Flexible working style with strong communication skills.
