Overview
The role involves leading the architecture and technical direction of the Agent Framework team at Elastic, focusing on the development of a scalable agent layer to support the Streams model.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and evaluate architecture for the agent layer, implementing technologies to enhance performance.
- Provide technical guidance to team members, foster a culture of learning, and conduct code reviews.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and collaborate with product management on feature prioritization.
- Facilitate collaboration across teams, identify project risks, and adjust plans based on priorities or feedback.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a technical lead or principal engineer on systems-level software projects managing distributed deployments.
- Deep knowledge of observability data collection and relevant protocols (e.g., OTLP, Prometheus).
- Solid background in Go programming language.
- Experience designing management/control planes for distributed software.
- Track record of leading large technical initiatives from design to deployment.
- Strong written communication skills for creating design documents.
