Principal Solutions Architect, Professional Services @Docker

Overview

Docker is launching a Professional Services organization to accelerate customer success and drive enterprise adoption for agentic workloads. The Principal Solutions Architect will play a critical role in building and scaling this function within a globally distributed, remote-first team.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and codify repeatable reference architecture patterns across Docker's core use cases.
• Translate reference architectures into customer-facing technical collateral and templates.
• Collaborate with product, marketing, and revenue teams to align delivery to Docker's AI platform roadmap.
• Support Partnerships & Alliances in onboarding technical integration partners.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to enterprise customers on modern containerization patterns.
• Lead technical discovery and architecture engagements.
• Architect and deliver self-hosted Docker deployments in complex enterprise environments.
• Design AI toolchains and guide customers in their implementation.
• Ensure technical objectives are met during service engagements.
• Drive alignment and decision-making across stakeholders and teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years as a Professional Services Solution Architect or similar role.
• Experience with self-hosted and air-gapped deployment architectures.
• Enterprise integration experience across Identity Providers and federated identity protocols.
• Knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP) and its application in AI toolchains.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML workflows and agentic AI architectures.
• Deep understanding of container and software supply chain security.
• Excellent facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
• Recognition as a strategic technical advisor by enterprise customers.
