Program Manager Contingent Workforce @Instacart

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Develop a fully operational contingent workforce program with governance frameworks and standard operating procedures.
• Manage a trusted supplier network for external labor and oversee onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Refine and operationalize worker classification and tenure management policies in compliance with SOX.
• Drive organizational adoption of the new contingent workforce model through training and communication.
• Identify needs for international expansion and platform enhancements as the program matures.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in program management, operations, or workforce management.
• Experience with vendor or supplier relationships in a staffing, MSP, or VMS context.
• Strong process development skills and ability to design operating models.
• Proven capability to align cross-functional teams across Finance, Legal, HR, and stakeholders.
• Exceptional communication and influencing skills, especially at the executive level.
