    Overview

    This position offers an opportunity for professionals to engage in humanitarian action, peacebuilding, and gender equality within the UN Women framework. The Programme Analyst, Women, Peace, Security and Humanitarian Action (WPSHA) will be based in Cairo, Egypt, and will support regional programmes focused on women’s participation in peacebuilding, humanitarian coordination, and crisis response across the Arab States.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support the development of programme strategies related to Women, Peace, Security and Humanitarian Action.
    • Coordinate programme implementation activities, workshops, consultations, and regional events.
    • Support proposal reviews, partner assessments, and grant coordination processes.
    • Monitor partner implementation progress and reporting outcomes.
    • Provide technical support and capacity building to implementing partners.
    • Assist with donor reporting and results-based management processes.
    • Support inter-agency coordination on Gender in Humanitarian Action.
    • Contribute to advocacy, communication, and knowledge management efforts.

    The Programme Analyst will also help organize regional advocacy campaigns, trainings, and knowledge-sharing activities related to women’s participation in peace processes and humanitarian response systems.

    Requirements

    • Master’s degree or equivalent in social sciences, human rights, gender studies, international development, or related fields.
    • At least two years of progressively responsible experience in development programme implementation, project coordination, monitoring and evaluation, donor reporting, or capacity-building activities.
    • Experience in Women, Peace and Security, Gender in Humanitarian Action, or humanitarian coordination is a plus.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Proficiency in computer applications and web-based management systems; familiarity with Oracle Cloud ERP is desirable.
    • Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of Arabic and/or French is an advantage.
