Overview
WINGS is seeking an Africa Coordinator to support the growth of philanthropy support ecosystems across Africa, acting as a critical bridge between WINGS’ global network and its African members.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor project activities aligned with the Africa regional strategy.
- Coordinate Africa Working Group initiatives and community-building activities.
- Organize webinars, workshops, and regional gatherings.
- Conduct research, produce reports, and document trends within African philanthropy.
- Identify potential partnerships and stakeholders to strengthen regional work.
- Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with funding requirements.
- Foster connections between African philanthropy support organizations and WINGS members.
Requirements
- Location: Based in Africa.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years in network or project coordination in the nonprofit or philanthropic sectors.
- Skills:
- Fluency in English and French; Portuguese is an asset.
- Experience in fundraising and proposal writing.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in project management and digital tools.
- Global mindset with awareness of cultural diversity.
- Availability to travel up to 15% of the time.
Benefits
- Salary ranges from USD 30,000 to 40,000 per year.
- This is a full-time consultancy position at 40 hours per week.
