Overview

WINGS is seeking an Africa Coordinator to support the growth of philanthropy support ecosystems across Africa, acting as a critical bridge between WINGS’ global network and its African members.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor project activities aligned with the Africa regional strategy.
• Coordinate Africa Working Group initiatives and community-building activities.
• Organize webinars, workshops, and regional gatherings.
• Conduct research, produce reports, and document trends within African philanthropy.
• Identify potential partnerships and stakeholders to strengthen regional work.
• Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with funding requirements.
• Foster connections between African philanthropy support organizations and WINGS members.

Requirements

• Location: Based in Africa.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 7 years in network or project coordination in the nonprofit or philanthropic sectors.
• Skills:
  • Fluency in English and French; Portuguese is an asset.
  • Experience in fundraising and proposal writing.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in project management and digital tools.
  • Global mindset with awareness of cultural diversity.
• Availability to travel up to 15% of the time.

Benefits

• Salary ranges from USD 30,000 to 40,000 per year.
• This is a full-time consultancy position at 40 hours per week.
