Key Responsibilities

• Co-authoring a daily Axios newsletter full of insights and scoops for Dallas residents.
• Covering various aspects of life in Dallas.
• Experimenting with and leveraging AI for reporting and newsletter production.
• Writing conversationally, following Axios' Smart Brevity style.
• Helping to build Axios Local and shaping product evolution.

Requirements

• Experience covering Dallas.
• Excellent sources and the desire to create new ones.
• Ability to break news and create conceptual scoops.
• Omnivorous curiosity about the city.
• Creative mindset with numerous ideas.
• Comfortable flexing personality in writing.
• Proven experience in a fast-paced news environment on deadline.
• Desire to be indispensable to local readers and Axios Local.
