Overview

The role of Senior Forward Deployed Engineer within Juniper Square's Applied AI team involves working directly with GP clients to design, build, and manage AI solutions for operational challenges in private markets. The position is focused on leveraging modern AI in engineering processes while promoting collaboration within a talented engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with GP clients to identify workflows where custom AI agents provide leverage.
• Translate ambiguous business problems into clear requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Lead solutions through their full lifecycle from prototype to production deployment.
• Design and build systems that ensure reliability and scalability.
• Operate independently on client-edge solutions while collaborating with core engineering teams.
• Make informed engineering trade-offs with a focus on reliability and maintainability.
• Own the deployed solutions post-launch, iterating based on user feedback.
• Produce documentation, train users, and manage solution rollouts to enhance adoption.
• Mentor less experienced engineers during engagements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience delivering production software, particularly AI-enabled applications.
• Proven track record of ownership in project delivery and client management.
• Ability to convert business needs into working software requirements.
• Full-stack engineering expertise covering data, services, and user interfaces.
• Experience managing applications on major cloud platforms with knowledge of CI/CD and monitoring.
• Experience interfacing directly with external clients.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development methodologies.
• Strong written communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
