Security Engineer, Incident Response @Twilio

Overview

Twilio is seeking a Security Engineer focused on Incident Response. This role involves leading technical responses to security events across Twilio’s global infrastructure, services, and applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support responses to security events and incidents across Twilio’s infrastructure.
• Document incidents and projects, crafting runbooks and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to address security challenges related to various threat actors.
• Enhance security posture by implementing improvements from security events.
• Manage the security incident lifecycle and participate in on-call rotation.
• Foster positive relationships with internal customers to identify and facilitate solutions.
• Provide mentorship and support for the team’s career development.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in security incident response within a cloud environment.
• Expertise in security issues and technologies.
• Proficiency in using AI for comprehensive security incident response.
• Advanced knowledge of service-oriented architectures and security tools for cloud.
• Experience with SIEM platforms and SOAR tools.
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or other large cloud platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong ability to build relationships across all organizational levels.
