Security Engineer, Incident Response @Twilio

Overview

Twilio is seeking a Security Engineer for Incident Response to become an integral part of its Security Incident Response Team (SIRT). This role focuses on leading technical responses to security events and incidents across Twilio's global infrastructure, services, and applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support responses to all security events and incidents across Twilio’s infrastructure.
• Document incidents and projects, crafting best practices as runbooks and procedures.
• Collaborate across teams to address challenges linked to various threat actors.
• Enhance Twilio’s security and reliability through identified betterments from incidents.
• Manage the complete security incident lifecycle and participate in on-call rotations.
• Maintain positive relationships with internal customers to boost impact and effectiveness.
• Provide mentorship and support for team members’ career development.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in security incident response in a production-cloud environment.
• Expertise in security issues and technologies.
• Ability to leverage AI for effective security incident response.
• Advanced knowledge of service-oriented architectures and cloud security tools.
• Experience with SIEM and SOAR tools.
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or other cloud platforms.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
