Senior Account Manager, Aerospace & Defense @Real-Time Innovations (RTI)

Overview

RTI is seeking a Senior Account Manager to drive sales of Connext DDS software and services to Aerospace and Defense customers, focusing on Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) across the West territory in the U.S.

Key Responsibilities

• Present and sell RTI software and engineering services to current and potential customers within the assigned territory.
• Proactively seek new business in key industries, primarily UAS, through prospecting, cold calling, and networking.
• Plan and schedule meetings with customers to understand their technical and business problems.
• Collaborate with RTI Engineering and Product & Markets staff to develop software solutions.
• Build trust-based relationships with key decision makers.
• Conduct business discussions, including pricing and licensing negotiations.
• Drive customer retention, upsells, and satisfaction.
• Work with Marketing to conduct key events in the territory.
• Forecast and track territory metrics.
• Meet sales goals by closing business in the assigned territory.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in technology software sales.
• Strong hunting and prospecting skills.
• Ability to build solid relationships and attain trusted advisor credibility.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Experience with lead generation and targeted account selling.
• Proficient in Salesforce.com.
• B.S. or higher in engineering or computer science preferred.
• Travel within the territory is required.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
