Overview

The role involves joining Blockchain.com as a Senior Software Engineer on their Institutional team, focusing on building low latency, scalable trading services. This position is based in London with opportunities to work remotely for a limited time each year.

Key Responsibilities

• Build low latency, scalable trading services in RUST for order management, exchange gateways, and risk management systems.
• Enhance and maintain functionality of the Order Management System (OMS) to ensure efficient order execution and management in a high-frequency trading environment.
• Collaborate with a dedicated engineering team committed to improving and iterating on cutting-edge systems.
• Participate in building a new set of financial services and systems within the cryptocurrency exchange ecosystem.
• Apply low latency high throughput techniques and algorithms.
• Ensure security by employing advanced encryption schemes to protect user and company data.
• Work with tech teams to deliver high-quality products and enhance overall performance.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in C++ and/or Rust.
• Experience with Python and SQL.
• Familiarity with multithreading and network programming.
• Proficient in performance benchmarking and tuning.
• Strong interest in delivering high quality software, including testing at all development stages.
• Experience in trading systems architecture, including OMS and market data processing.
• Pragmatic approach to problem solving and a basic understanding of algorithms, data structures, and distributed systems.
