Senior Data Analyst, People @Fivetran

Overview

The role of Senior Data Analyst at Fivetran focuses on supporting the People organization by utilizing data to enhance talent attraction, development, engagement, and retention. This position involves working across various aspects of the employee lifecycle while partnering with leaders in People, Recruiting, Finance, and other departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain core People metrics, including headcount, hiring, retention, and employee experience.
• Build scalable analytical products that provide access to important data for People teams and leaders.
• Translate analyses into narratives and recommendations for diverse audiences.
• Establish strong practices around data quality, integrity, and the responsible use of employee data.
• Analyze data to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations.
• Mentor analysts and partners, and promote analytical best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in analytics, data science, or business intelligence.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and data modeling.
• Experience with business intelligence and visualization tools such as Looker or Tableau.
• Strong analytical judgment with the ability to translate ambiguous business questions.
• Excellent communication and data storytelling skills.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity and developing hypotheses.
• Ability to build trusted relationships across technical and non-technical teams.
• Passion for using data to improve organizational practices.

Location

This is a full-time, flexible hybrid position based out of Fivetran's offices in Oakland, CA or New York, NY. The hybrid work model allows for remote work with some in-person collaboration encouraged.
