Key Responsibilities

• Leverage distributed systems expertise to build and operate core components of the next-generation Serverless Elasticsearch.
• Improve Elasticsearch components for concurrent indexing across multiple machines.
• Maintain the cluster coordination system to ensure high performance amid node variability.
• Push limits on shards, nodes, and data handling capacity.
• Investigate performance and concurrency issues, proposing solutions.
• Support support engineers with complex problems.
• Own operational investigations from start to finish.

Requirements

• Deep background in distributed systems and consensus algorithms.
• Strong skills in core Java and familiarity with various data structures and concurrency constructs.
