As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer in the Economics team, the role involves building advanced systems that combine economic principles with machine learning algorithms to solve challenging problems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning solutions to address economic challenges in a complex marketplace.
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and other engineers to understand business needs and create effective solutions.
• Enhance operational efficiency by refining and advancing algorithms and models.
• Share learnings, best practices, and research across domains while contributing expertise to the Economics team.

Requirements

• Graduate degree (Master's or PhD) in Economics or a related field.
• Experience with causal inference methodologies for both observational and experimental datasets.
• Understanding of machine learning algorithms and techniques.
• Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with data manipulation (SQL, Pandas) and machine learning tools (e.g., scikit-learn, XGBoost).
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership.
• For Senior roles: 1-3 years of industry experience and experience in deploying machine learning models in production.
• Preferred: A PhD focusing on data-intense problems and experience with large language models and generative AI.
