Senior Manager, Accounts Receivable & Billing @Fivetran

Overview

Fivetran is seeking a Senior Manager, Accounts Receivable & Billing to lead and scale their global billing and accounts receivable operations. The role involves strengthening billing operations and financial controls during a significant business transformation as Fivetran integrates with dbt Labs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end billing operations including invoice generation, delivery, amendments, and reconciliations.
• Design and monitor billing and accounts receivable controls and processes.
• Establish customer credit review and credit-check processes in partnership with Finance.
• Drive operational readiness for month-end and quarterly close.
• Manage billing-data readiness for the planned integration cutover.
• Partner with multiple teams to resolve billing-related upstream data and process issues.
• Develop AI-enabled workflows for recurring billing and other financial activities.
• Recruit and develop team members in the India Center of Excellence.
• Create and maintain all necessary SOPs and training materials.
• Provide leadership reporting on billing health and operational risks.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or related finance functions in a B2B or SaaS environment.
• 3+ years of people-management experience.
• Deep understanding of billing operations and financial controls.
• Experience designing operational controls and process improvements.
• Strong systems capabilities, including proficiency in ERP and billing platforms.
• Experience with significant transformation initiatives like system implementations and process migrations.
• Skills in AI, automation, and workflow tools.

Location

This is a hybrid role based out of the Oakland office, requiring two days in the office each week.
