    Overview

    The role of Senior Manager, Endpoint Protections at Elastic involves leading a globally distributed team that builds visibility, prevention, and on-device machine learning capabilities for Elastic Defend, an endpoint and SIEM security solution.     Key Responsibilities

    • Lead, mentor, and grow a world-class engineering team, guiding senior research engineers across endpoint internals, prevention engineering, and machine learning.
    • Own the roadmap and drive delivery, focusing on new visibility investments and enhancing existing protection engines.
    • Connect the team's work to the rest of Elastic Security by enhancing detection and protection capabilities across the product.
    • Direct the team's machine learning efforts, ensuring quality training data and telemetry features.
    • Drive cross-platform protection parity, maintaining leadership in security across Windows, macOS, and Linux.
    • Represent the team externally by facilitating presentations at conferences and engaging with customers.

    Requirements

    • Experience in people leadership, managing senior technical contributors on a distributed team.
    • Hands-on experience as a security researcher with knowledge in attacker tactics and internal systems.
    • Deep understanding of operating system internals, especially with Windows.
    • Experience in reverse engineering and malware analysis.
    • Strong communication skills for technical and executive audiences.
    • Ability to thrive in a distributed, autonomous environment.
    • Experience with AI-assisted development tools.
