Senior Manager, Technical Account Management (Enterprise) @Instacart

Overview

Instacart is seeking a Senior Manager to build, train, and lead their Technical Account Management (TAM) practice, overseeing post-launch technical excellence for the Storefront Pro (SFP) product, which is a leader in e-commerce solutions for grocery.

Key Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and develop the Technical Account Management team, fostering a world-class practice through coaching and mentorship.
• Define, develop, and refine the approach to platform health for SFP, identifying and monitoring key metrics.
• Design and operate the team's operating model, evolving it as the portfolio scales.
• Develop systems of intake and prioritization for external and internal stakeholders, balancing competing priorities.
• Serve as a senior escalation point for critical issues, communicating effectively with retailer stakeholders.
• Negotiate scope and responsibility boundaries with partners and internally, maintaining clear ownership lines.
• Initiate and operate cross-functional initiatives that drive continuous improvement in SFP's deployments.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in technical account management, solutions engineering/architecture, or related fields in SaaS environments.
• 5+ years leader experience, preferably with team building or significant scaling.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, especially with VP-level and C-suite stakeholders.
• Ability to drive large-scale transformation programs with measurable impact.
• Deep engineering understanding to analyze complex platform integrations.
• Proven ability to balance proactive and reactive approaches to technical health.
• A collaborative mindset to coordinate effectively across internal teams.
