    Overview

    The Senior Organic Search Executive role at Trainline focuses on enhancing visibility across search engines and AI-generated platforms, enabling millions of travellers to discover Europe's leading independent rail platform. This position requires collaboration with various teams to shape the organic search strategy and optimize content.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct keyword and topic research for traditional search intent and conversational AI queries, shaping meta titles, descriptions, H1s, and on-page content.
    • Create and publish editorial content and landing page copy so that it is optimized for SEO and GEO, in line with Trainline's brand tone.
    • Regularly check content for local accuracy and effectiveness.
    • Identify and flag technical issues that affect content visibility and work with technical SEO and engineering to resolve them.
    • Monitor competitor performance across search and generative engines to identify content gaps.
    • Develop strategies to increase Trainline's visibility in generative engines.
    • Stay updated on the AI search landscape, sharing relevant insights with the team.
    • Collaborate with other marketing and go-to-market teams to build a localized SEO and GEO content roadmap.

    Requirements

    • Fluency in English.
    • Experience in Enterprise SEO and organic search strategies.
    • Understanding of how search engines crawl, index, and rank content.
    • Familiarity with structured data and schema markup.
    • Experience using analytics tools, such as Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
    • Proficient with SEO tools (e.g., SEMRush, Screaming Frog, Botify, Ahrefs).
    • Strong written communication and copywriting skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

    Location
