Overview

The Senior Presales Engineer role at Twilio is an essential position within the sales team, focusing on New Business and Strategic segments. This remote position aids customers in developing the future of communications by delivering technical wins and fitting products to their needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives for pre-sales activities including opportunity qualification, demonstrations, Proof-of-Concept, RFP, design documentation, technical presentations, and enablement sessions.
• Lead technical and product sales, recommending best-practice solutions using Twilio's APIs.
• Understand customer technical pains to design, demonstrate, and present innovative solutions.
• Build and present engaging and complex product demonstrations showcasing Twilio's capabilities.
• Identify and solve problems both for customers and within the organization.
• Contribute to the Twilio Solutions Engineering community through knowledge sharing and constructing demonstration materials.

Requirements

• 5+ years of pre-sales experience with complex technical products or 6+ years of professional experience in support and customer-facing roles.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to understand customer communications needs and guide them to technical solutions.
• Previous software development experience in languages such as Java, C#, Node.js, Python, or PHP.
• Experience with web development (JavaScript, HTML/CSS, frontend frameworks like React, Vue.js, Angular).
• Experience building with REST APIs.
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Advanced English proficiency.
