Senior Producer @Axios

Overview

Axios is a media company dedicated to providing trustworthy, award-winning news and information in an audience-first format. They are seeking a creative, highly organized Producer/Senior Producer to help grow Axios’ original video portfolio, supporting original Axios video programming across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce video from ideation through scripting, shooting, post-production, publishing, and promotion.
• Shape ideas into pitches, treatments, scripts, shot lists, run-of-show documents, and other production materials.
• Partner with editorial and video leaders to develop creative concepts aligned with Axios’ voice and standards.
• Lead or support field, studio, and remote-based productions.
• Work effectively with journalists, executives, guests, and other on-camera talent.
• Coordinate work across internal teams, freelancers, contractors, vendors, and production partners.
• Create video optimized for digital platforms, including audience retention and distribution.
• Use platform trends and performance insights to inform creative decisions and grow Axios’ video audience.
• Manage multiple projects, deadlines, production schedules, and review processes in a fast-moving environment.

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of relevant experience in video production, journalism, digital media, or comparable fields.
• Demonstrated experience producing, shooting, and editing professional video content.
• Strong editorial judgment and visual storytelling skills.
• Experience producing for YouTube with an understanding of audience development.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong writing, communication, and project-management skills.
• A collaborative and solutions-oriented approach.
