Senior Public Sector Counsel @Harvey

Overview

The role involves joining Harvey as a Senior Public Sector Counsel to build and lead the government and public sector legal function. This position requires driving efforts to establish relationships and sell to government agencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams on opportunities and advise on public sector procurement processes, proposals, and strategies.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex government contracts, AI SaaS agreements, and technology-related agreements, ensuring compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
• Provide contract lifecycle counsel, including administration, performance issues, and compliance obligations.
• Develop training and resources for legal and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• A law degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in good standing in at least one jurisdiction (California, New York, or DC preferred).
• 7+ years of law firm and/or in-house experience.
• Transactional background, with strong experience in complex SaaS, technology, and IP agreements, especially in government contracts.
• Experience negotiating agreements with government customers.
• Working knowledge of government procurement regimes, including FAR and DFARS.
• Ability to think creatively and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-focused and collaborative work style with project management skills.

Benefits

Compensation ranges from $210,300 - $300,000 USD.

Location

This role can be based in New York, San Francisco, Chicago, or Dallas on a hybrid model. It is also available as fully remote for applicants based in other locations within the US (DC preferred).
