Senior Revenue Accountant @Fivetran

Overview

Fivetran is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to ensure timely and accurate revenue recognition, working closely with the Revenue Manager. The role involves managing all aspects of the revenue accounting process to guarantee complete financial information.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute monthly accounting close activities in NetSuite, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Review sales contracts for revenue implications and assess contract appropriateness for revenue recognition under ASC 606.
• Prepare technical accounting memos and maintain documentation for audit readiness.
• Assist with revenue system functionality, testing, and enhancements.
• Drive process improvements and automation efforts for efficiency.
• Support SOX requirements and internal control activities.
• Participate in ad hoc projects and external audit requirements as needed.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience in revenue and/or public accounting.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and experience in high-growth, SaaS environments.
• Advanced Excel skills, with ability to manage large datasets.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter with ownership mindset.
• Interest in continuous improvement and technology utilization.

Location

This position is hybrid, with a requirement to work in the New York area with two office days each week.
