Senior Sales Engineer, Commercial @Fivetran

Overview

Fivetran is looking for a talented Senior Sales Engineer to join their Commercial sales team. The role involves working closely with the sales team to understand customers’ complex business needs and showcasing Fivetran’s data replication solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with Commercial customers to understand their business, use cases, and data replication requirements.
• Develop and deliver technical presentations to Commercial audiences.
• Ensure the technical win by running an organised proof-of-value process.
• Collaborate with multiple cross-functional organizations to drive improvements to Fivetran.
• Maintain a high level of customer focus and technical excellence while working closely with Sales representatives.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and industry trends.
• Assist team members with advanced technical or business roadblocks.

Requirements

• 4+ years in data replication, sales engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong technical background in database replication, cloud infrastructure, and data replication technologies.
• Experience with modern data analytics technologies, including cloud data warehouses and BI tools.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience with various databases, including Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres, MySQL, and NoSQL.
• Hands-on experience with data replication or ETL tools.
• Experience with self-hosted software applications and supporting infrastructure.
• Networking experience both in the cloud and on-premise.

Bonus Skills

• Experience developing partner relationships.
• Specialized expertise in security posture.
• Experience with self-hosted and SaaS software applications.
• Hands-on experience with DBT.

Location

This is a hybrid position based out of the Dublin office, requiring two days in the office each week.
