Senior Site Reliability Engineer @Fivetran

Overview

Fivetran is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join their team and enhance the reliability of their data platforms. This role is integral for maintaining the overall performance and reliability of Fivetran's infrastructure and ensuring effective incident response.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure ongoing reliability and robustness of the production infrastructure by monitoring availability, capacity, and throughput.
• Integrate reliability enhancements into the product roadmap.
• Coordinate and address critical bugs for support and sales requirements.
• Make recommendations for production infrastructure to ensure 100% availability.
• Automate deployments across all environments.
• Identify and rectify infrastructure vulnerabilities in collaboration with the security team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with SaaS products at scale.
• Working knowledge of managed Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE).
• Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, Terraform, Ansible, Buildkite.
• Proficiency in Python/Shell scripting. Additional knowledge in Java or Go is a bonus.
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems and administration.
• Experience with cloud networking.
• Knowledge of databases such as PostgreSQL.

Location

This is a full-time, hybrid position based out of the Oakland, California office, with remote flexibility and an expectation of two days in-office each week.
