Overview

The role of Senior Software Developer, Developer Experience (DevX) at Robinhood focuses on building and scaling developer infrastructure to improve productivity and efficiency for engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize monorepo builds using Bazel and oversee the remote build execution cluster to ensure fast, stable builds.
• Scale CI pipelines for thousands of daily builds, managing GitHub repository configurations, pre-merge checks, and test executions.
• Enhance the developer onboarding experience to minimize time-to-first-commit for new engineers.
• Provide and maintain remote development environments to support local workflows, enabling developers to code, test, and deploy efficiently.

Requirements

• Experience in building and maintaining developer infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, or large-scale build systems (such as Bazel).
• Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable code in Go or Python.
• Familiarity with distributed or remote build execution systems and understanding of containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes.
• Strong problem-solving skills focused on improving developer productivity and engineering workflows.
