Overview

Fivetran is looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test with extensive experience to define and execute the design, development, and maintenance of test automation tools and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide meaningful, risk-focused feedback.
• Design and evolve scalable automation frameworks in Java, emphasizing reliability and performance.
• Write high-signal test strategies for complex features and automate across multiple environments.
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines by building robust validation layers.
• Develop internal tools and proof-of-concepts using AI/LLM technologies to expedite debugging, generate test scenarios, and improve testing processes.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to foster a culture of quality ownership and automation-first thinking.
• Measure and improve engineering impact through reliability metrics and automation efficiency.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software development with a focus on quality and automation.
• Deep understanding of OOP principles and proficiency in Java.
• Expertise in designing scalable automation frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and CircleCI.
• Knowledge of database testing and ETL/data pipeline validation is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI/LLM tools for streamlining workflows.
