Senior Software Engineer, Developer Experience (DevX) @Robinhood

Overview

The role is for a Senior Software Engineer focusing on Developer Experience (DevX) at Robinhood, aimed at building and operating core developer infrastructure to enhance productivity and workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize monorepo builds using Bazel and own the remote build execution cluster.
• Scale CI pipelines to support thousands of daily builds with a focus on speed, safety, and reliability.
• Improve the developer onboarding experience and reduce time-to-first-commit.
• Provide and maintain remote development environments to support faster development workflows.

Requirements

• Experience building and maintaining developer infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, or large-scale build systems (e.g., Bazel).
• Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable code in Go or Python.
• Experience with distributed or remote build execution systems, and knowledge of containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on improving developer productivity and workflows.

Location

This role is based in either New York City or Menlo Park, CA, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.
