Senior Software Engineer - Developer Productivity @Fivetran

Overview

Fivetran is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Platform Ops team within Platform Engineering. The role focuses on enabling developer productivity by building and improving developer tooling and environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Build internal tools and services in Python and/or Go.
• Develop and improve self-service workflows and internal developer platform tooling.
• Enable developer workflows across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Create AI-based workflows to enhance developer experience.
• Improve observability for platform services to aid issue diagnosis.
• Automate engineering workflows (e.g., environment setup, releases).
• Integrate existing tools into workflows to enhance time-to-resolution.
• Participate in on-call/incident response as required.

Requirements

• Professional software engineering experience in Python and/or Go.
• Experience building developer productivity tooling.
• Familiarity with at least one cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong fundamentals in testing, code review, debugging, and operating production services.
• Adept at working in a remote, cross-team environment.

You will have an edge with expertise in Kubernetes and Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/OpenTofu).
