Senior Software Engineer - Integrations 3P - Platform @Elastic

Overview

Elastic is searching for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Integrations Team, focusing on building and integrating Elastic within the AI ecosystem. This role is essential as AI tools become increasingly integral to developers' workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and evolve the Elastic MCP server and its infrastructure, primarily using Go.
• Create the platform for universal agent skills, including the portable format and authoring tools.
• Establish quality standards through evaluations for the skills and tools being released.
• Design and implement integrations for Elastic within third-party AI ecosystems, collaborating with product teams and external partners.
• Enhance the Elastic CLI to improve developer efficiency.
• Develop, maintain, and support libraries, tools, and integrations related to the Elastic Stack in various programming languages including Go and Rust.
• Advocate for product thinking and make informed decisions on development priorities.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, specifically with backend systems, services, or libraries.
• Strong proficiency in AI/ML frameworks and a working knowledge of LLMs and associated protocols.
• Recent experience with Go and familiarity with other programming languages.
• Understanding of client-server networking, HTTP, and RESTful APIs.
• Ability to read and contribute to unfamiliar codebases.
• Familiarity with industry best practices in software engineering.
• Strong focus on usability and developer experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both with internal teams and customers.
