Senior Software Engineer - Integrations 3P - Platform @Elastic

Overview

Elastic, the Search AI Company, enables everyone to find answers in real time using data at scale. The company seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join the Integrations Team, working on how Elastic integrates into the AI ecosystem and enhancing developer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and evolve the Elastic MCP server and its infrastructure primarily in Go.
• Develop the platform for universal agent skills, including authoring tools and linting.
• Ensure the correctness of skills and tools through evaluations.
• Design integrations for third-party AI ecosystems in collaboration with product teams and partners.
• Contribute enhancements to the Elastic CLI to improve developer efficiency.
• Develop, maintain, and support libraries and tools related to the Elastic Stack, using languages such as Go and Rust.
• Engage in product thinking to guide development informed by the broader ecosystem.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, particularly with backend systems.
• Proficiency with AI/ML frameworks and understanding of LLMs, agents, and protocols such as MCP.
• Strong experience in Go and familiarity with other languages.
• Knowledge of client-server networking, HTTP, and RESTful APIs.
• Ability to read and contribute to various codebases.
• Experience with software engineering best practices.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, globally distributed team.
