Senior Software Engineer - Integrations 3P - Platform @Elastic

Overview

Elastic, the Search AI Company, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Integrations Team to enhance how Elastic integrates within the AI ecosystem. This role focuses on building and maintaining tools that help Elastic be accessible in the environments where developers operate.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and evolve the Elastic MCP server and its infrastructure, primarily using Go.
• Create the platform for universal agent skills, including portable formats and authoring tools.
• Ensure correctness of skills and tools through evaluations.
• Design and deliver integrations for Elastic within third-party AI ecosystems.
• Contribute to the Elastic CLI to enhance developer efficiency.
• Develop, maintain, and support libraries, tools, and integrations for the Elastic Stack using various languages, including Go and Rust.
• Bring product thinking to the team by making informed decisions about development based on the ecosystem.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with back-end systems, services, or libraries.
• Proficiency in AI/ML frameworks, knowledge of LLMs, agents, and protocols such as MCP.
• Significant experience with Go and familiarity with other programming languages.
• Understanding of client-server networking, HTTP, and RESTful APIs.
• Ability to read and contribute to varied codebases.
• Knowledge of industry best practices in software engineering.
• Interest in usability and developer experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
