Overview

The role involves a Senior Software Engineer position within Fivetran's Engineering Strategy and Operations group, focusing on R&D business systems development. It aims to support internal processes and provide real-time insights into R&D operations efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of custom system solutions, tools, and dashboards for R&D operations.
• Design and maintain integrations between core platforms such as Jira, Zendesk, and Salesforce.
• Create and maintain custom AI agents and internal tools for data access and requirement drafting.
• Develop production-grade backend services and integration workflows.
• Define API contracts, data models, and integration patterns for reliability and security.
• Write high-quality code with testing standards.
• Manage observability and operational readiness for internal tools.
• Build maintainable React-based internal applications.
• Use AI assistants to streamline development processes.
• Create technical documentation for integrations and systems.
• Develop self-service analytics dashboards in collaboration with the analytics team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Experience with APIs, webhooks, and programming/scripting languages (Python, Java).
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with cloud data warehouses.
• Experience with BI tools such as Sigma or Tableau.
• Knowledge of AI/ML utilities or agents.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise systems (Jira, Slack, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Ability to drive complex projects independently.

Location
