Overview
The role of Senior Software Engineer at Jamf involves contributing to Jamf's Security Cloud vectoring strategy by owning the Jamf Trust macOS app and associated iOS components. This position is offered as a hybrid role based in Brno, Czech Republic, with a focus on collaboration and maintaining high-quality standards in code development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects end to end as an epic owner, handling design, coordination, and delivery.
- Participate in operational duties, including weekly first-responder duty and addressing production issues.
- Enhance review processes and maintain high code quality in a team environment.
- Improve product diagnostics through better logging and observability.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster their development in Apple platform expertise.
- Contribute to technical direction and decision-making within the team.
- Ensure adherence to the organization’s values and promote an inclusive workplace.
Requirements
Must-have:
- Professional Swift experience with production applications.
- Knowledge of modern Swift concurrency.
- Experience with the Swift Package Manager and modular design.
- Strong testing discipline and debugging skills.
- Experience with coding agents and their verification processes.
- Demonstrated experience in mentoring and improving team tools.
Nice-to-have:
- Familiarity with Apple's NetworkExtension framework.
- Networking knowledge (HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, VPN).
- Experience with macOS system extensions and Apple code signing.
- Knowledge of production observability and error reporting.
