Overview

Fivetran is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer to join their Systems Engineering team, focusing on building and governing their internal AI-powered application ecosystem. This role emphasizes software development, platform architecture, and AI-assisted development.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the development and governance of a code library for internal AI-enabled web apps.
• Develop, productionalize, and enhance custom apps in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Shape policy and governance for AI usage among non-engineering teams.
• Design and implement features for scalable data pipelines on the cloud.
• Conduct design and code reviews.
• Participate in on-call rotation and mentor junior developers.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software industry experience, with expertise in solving complex engineering problems.
• Experience with distributed systems and cloud security concepts.
• Proficient in programming in languages like Python, TypeScript, Java, C++, or C#.
• Hands-on experience with cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Ability to lead software and infrastructure design to meet project requirements.
• Familiarity with observability tools and continuous integration tools is a plus.
• Experience with AI code assist systems.
• Bonus: Experience in data processing (ETL, ELT) and cloud-based platforms.
