Senior Technical Lead @Juniper Square

Overview

Juniper Square is seeking a Senior Technical Lead to architect and oversee the development of high-performance backend systems and distributed applications. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Python or Java, and experience in building scalable APIs and microservices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design and architecture of backend systems and mission-critical APIs.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance and mentor developers.
• Define coding standards, enforce code quality, and conduct code reviews.
• Architect and implement backend services using Python/FastAPI or Java.
• Design and deliver scalable RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Build asynchronous task pipelines and microservices using relevant message brokers.
• Deploy and manage systems on AWS and implement CI/CD processes.
• Lead discussions on scalability and system architecture.

Requirements

• 10–13 years of backend engineering experience, with 3+ years in a technical leadership role.
• Strong experience with Python (FastAPI preferred) or Java, REST & GraphQL API development, and AWS cloud services.
• Knowledge of microservices architectures, SQL and NoSQL databases, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Nice-to-have: Frontend development experience using ReactJS and TypeScript.
